Interesting - I, too, was working at a bank, and walking outside on my lunch
hour. A Metropolitan Life Insurance Company was next-door to the bank, and
a lady ran out screaming: " the president has been shot, the president has
been shot" - at first, I thought she meant the president of the Metropolitan
Life Insurance Company. It was a very sad day.

the President had been shot, it was around 9 in the morning and everything
came to a halt as we all just stood looking at each other. Some of us ran
for the phone to call home and some of us were wondering if this could
really be true....when suddenly over the musicac piped into the bank....
