Michelle I totally agree with you. They are making the futurities a rich man
sport/match. Those with the most money will enter more regions and they will
be the one winning at the National. How in the world is this suppose to
encourage anyone to enter futurities? I just don't get it I guess. Just me
missing the point.

Yes Carolyn….
The winning class dog isn’t excluded until they win or get a reserve…. So
they can knock out a ton of other dogs and never win their ticket.
The entire purpose of the system was to show case a brood bitch or stud dog
so you could see multiple progeny from them, ideally at the same time (hence
the price break we used to get for entering littermates). Now it is has
become an overpriced fun match which for those with money means you can enter
until you finally win and get your ticket. It is a hollow win now… and the
animals that come after this year that win will not be viewed by many as
those that came before them…
Last year saw some very questionable acts and a lot of discontent about
judging and overall bad behavior and instead of the board and the committee
focusing on that and coming up with some solutions they have cheapened an
event that once sought to show case the best producers in the breed and now
instead will be show casing owners with the most money and or political clout.

Does this mean a dog or bitch can win the same class in SEVERAL
Futurities......until or unless they win
a Reserve or Best in F. or Maturity .....or Best Opposite F. or
Maturity?
Example.....one male can win Jr. Dog class in four different
Futurities....just not the big wins?? Or up
UNTIL it does win one of the big wins?
