Goodmorning everyone and welcome to Thursday's edition of Sheri's Free Stuff
and Contests Newsletter. I hope everyone is well today. It is a beautiful
cool spring day here in Ky. My 6 yr old went on a field trip today to the
zoo. He was a little nervous about going without mommy but he was excited
too about getting to see tigers. I told him to make sure to stop by and see
the monkeys for the facinate me.

Our new contest is has started!! It will run until May the 5th and the
winner recieves a CD. Now this is a really great CD. I have one of these of
my very own and love it.
It is written and sung by a folk singer story teller from the Hills of West
Virginia named Glen Simpson. He is also my uncle :-). The Cd is his
interpretation of the events of the Hattfield and McCoy Feud.
This is a real collectors item!!
The rules of the contest are basically the same as the last contest except
the point values for this contest will change a little more.

in the voting rank.

From Our Recipe Corner:

Black Forest Pie - Thanks MysticMoon!
1/4 cup butter (melted)
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (melted)
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Prepared chocolate pie crust
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 Tbls. whipping cream
1 (15 oz.) can cherry pie filling
In a large bowl, combine butter, melted chocolate, sugar,
egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add flour and walnuts;
mix well. Spread batter into chocolate pie crust. Bake at
350 degrees 18 to 20 minutes or until top looks dry and
feels firm when gently touched. Cool. In a pan over low
heat, stir together chocolate chips and whipping cream
until smooth; spread over pie. When frosting is cool,
transfer cherries from can with a slotted spoon to top
dessert.
