Florida's Wing Conference will be held at Disney's Grosvenor Resort again this year and you are invited. Considering that this is a luxury hotel on the grounds of Walt Disney World itself, the rates are pretty reasonable as they start at $69/night (plus $10 resort fee). The Tallahassee Composite Squadron will be sponsoring a free vanpool to this event. For less than $100.00, you can attend the Wing Conference (including sharing a motel room with other cadets). For not much more, you can bring the entire family and hit the Magic Kingdom after the conference is dismissed. Check with your chain of command at the meeting for this unique opportunity at a relatively low price. Its prime location across the street from the entrance to Downtown Disney and the West End gives CAP Cadets and their families close proximity to restaurants, shops and attractions. As Orlando becomes increasingly in demand even for business conferences and family reunions, conference hotel rates have soared but Florida Wing has secured three special rates for CAP of $69 (low rise), $79 (low rise with garden or pool view) and $99 (tower), plus the $10 resort fee. Call 1-800-624-4109 to reserve your room before they’re all gone! Cadets, speak to your parents about this activity, as parents and family are invited! Parents and sponsor members are especially invited to a morning coffee and Danish session to learn more about CAP in a Q&A format. Friday night there will be a poolside social gathering from 7:30 to 9:30 with music, dancing and a fantastic dessert buffet. There will also be the annual volleyball match between Cadets and the Wing Staff. The General Session opens at 8 am Saturday followed by a number of Cadetspecific sessions. Go to one of the sessions in every block, get your Session Card stamped, and submit your complete card for the chance to win door prizes at the banquet. The Cadet Advisory Council is holding a CAC meeting open to every Cadet during lunch – pizza will be supplied! In the afternoon the annual Wing Academic Competition will take place, so get a team together now and start studying for the competition. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning will feature award ceremonies recognizing those who have lived the motto “Service Before Self” from across the wing. All members and guests are encouraged to attend the Saturday evening banquet (female Cadets may wear dresses) to hear a distinguished guest speaker astronaut speaker and honor those receiving the top Wing awards for the year. 2007 FLORIDA WING CADET CONFERENCE Celebrating the 60 th Anniversary nniversary of the F Founding of the ounding United States Air Force 1947 - 2007 Orlando — June 8-10, 2007 ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
