The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is a non-profit organization that is an auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The volunteers of CAP train for and coordinate search, rescue and security missions utilizing aircraft, ground teams and a wide array of electronic and technical equipment. CAP is also tasked with the mission of aerospace education and cadet training programs for young adults. CAP promotes, supports and implements aerospace education, both for its own members and the general public teaching the latest in flight technology. CAP educational programs help prepare American citizens to meet the challenges of a sophisticated, technologically advanced aerospace society and understand its related issues. CAP utilizes computer flight simulation, computer GPS simulation, streaming video and audio, advanced audio communication equipment, infrared equipment and localizing equipment to augment their training exercises. This list will be used to support the Florida Wing, Tallahassee Composite Squadron and will be used to supplement and coordinate many facets of these training missions.
