It's a big country and 7 years ago. It was between Puerto Vallarta and
Acapulco region. Boat logs are 3000 miles away for another 3 months. It
cost $15 to fix our 5hp dinghy prop. Sorry, I don't know where exactly.

I found a place in Mexico that fixed the stuffing on one of our props.
So, it's possible.

You're welcome. That is the prop I use on my 2001 sw1000. I usually keep
one spare on board. and even the old ones I keep in case of emergencies.
One of the common problems is that the central hub starts spinning without
spinning the prop. I think they can be restuffed or repaired

On the scoaa website www.scoaa.net you will find the partnumber for the prop
under the references section. Any yamaha dealer should be able to get them
for you

Kurt,
The parts catalogues show three different size props for the Yamaha engines.
The first one is 3 X 11 3/4 X 12 1/4. The second is 3 X11 x 11 3/4 and the
third is 3 X 11 3/4 X 9 1/4. Which one is used on the old style 9.9 high
thrust engines?
Thanks for your help. We head back to Mexico later next month.
