I had a blue version of one of these scopes.

if this one is anything like mine, the mirror should be in a sling
type of cell and should be easily removable.

Yep it is a cool scope, it is a fast scope 10.1 inch mirror with focal
length 4.5 the wheels work great to move it around on hard surfaces.
I wish I had the time to rebuild it. because it is a good scope. I will put
info about it in the Asterisk for our members if no takers then I will put
on Craigslist and other advertising methods.
the secondary mirror looks great nothing has to be done to it.

cleaning is not that big of a deal and all you might have to do is brush the
dust off with an optic brush I included a website there is all
kinds of sites out there to figure it out.
re-coating is a different story, and like I said it might be fine I would
have one of our more experienced ATM persons to take a look at it before
doing anything, because cleaning could make it worse.

What a cool scope! I wish I had room for it. I wonder what's involved with
cleaning / recoating...

I have attached two pictures, I do have more pictures that show more
detail of the telescope, if you are interested e-mail me and I will e-mail
you more pictures. You can see that the mirror does need to be cleaned and
that there is some small area where the coating is coming off. But this
telescope could be rebuilt into a truss tube, or just a tube no box. I have
found web pages where people have taken this telescope and rebuilt it so it
is more up to date. I will have this at my house for a few more days, then
it will be moved to our storage place. So if you are just a little
interested please contact my e-mail or phone number below.

The Club has a Coulter Compact Odyssey telescope For Sale, it is a 10.1
F4.5. This the rare hard to find Brown not Blue mount. I don't know to much
about it, so do some research of your own online. I do know that it has trap
door on the bottom and a sling mirror cell holder for the main mirror. This
means you need to remove the mirror every time you move it. We are selling
as is. There is no finder scope, but it does come with a few original eye
pieces and a 2x barlow. The mirror needs cleaning and because it is about 30
years old it might need to be re-coated. But can still be used. The
telescope is on a platform with wheels. And you can lift it off the
platform. The secondary mirror is held in by a single bar that runs the
width of the telescope.
If you are interested in this telescope contact me. This is a great scope
for the size. $250.00 or OBO. I will post some pictures.
This would be a great starter scope with a lot of light gathering.
