[sac-forum] Observing at 5MM

OK, I am done with the AZ Observing list. It truncates nearly every post... no time for that nonsense. I'll post this here, as I think those who were involved in that thread are also here.

What I originally tried to reply was:
I can't speak for Fredericksen's Meadow (5MM), but both Friday and Saturday nights were clear enough for some good observing from the site of Zane Grey's cabin, east of Payson.

In response to Beevo -- yes, the cabin burned down in '91. No, there isn't a housing development there. The original cabin site is undeveloped and is on private property. I was set up just yards from the original cabin site. The skies were clear enough for some decent observing both Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday started off cloudy, but cleared after astro twilight. What a nice location from which to observe.
