As Steve mentions I sent a proposed Schedule for 2009 to the board and committee chairmen/Event Coordinators for comments. The response was favorable with a few changes suggested. The reason it has not been presented to the membership as yet is the question of where to observe on the regular star party dates during the winter months. To date, no one I know has a chance to reconnoiter a suitable low desert location. I'll bring the schedule to the meeting and we can publish it with "Low Desert" until we narrow down a suitable site. Fact is most months there are two really good weekends with late moonrises, so I imagine the antennas will be pretty busy regardless. Paul does make a good point about reserving the room for next year, So for now here are the meeting dates: Start Date Start Time End Date End Time Subject Location Details 1/9/2009 19:00 1/9/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 2/6/2009 19:00 2/6/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 3/6/2009 19:00 3/6/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 4/10/2009 19:00 4/10/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 5/8/2009 19:00 5/8/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 6/5/2009 19:00 6/5/2008 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 7/10/2009 19:00 7/10/2008 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 8/7/2009 19:00 8/7/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 9/4/2009 19:00 9/4/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 10/2/2009 19:00 10/2/2008 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 10/30/2008 19:00 10/30/2009 22:00 SAC General Meeting Grand Canyon University Fleming Bldg, Rm. 105 Clear Skies Rick Tejera Editor SACnews, Public Outreach Coordinator Saguaro Astronomy Club Phoenix, Arizona www.saguaroastro.org saguaroastro@xxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: sac-board-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:sac-board-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve D. I do recall a schedule being proposed by Rick Tejera and generally accepted by the board with only one date conflicting with EVAC, as I recall. Pretty easy year for scheduling.
