I would Index as written. Anyone searching the name will find it if they
use the Nickname with or without the given names.

So do I. Be aware that the Palm Island community is mainly indigenous.
Nicknames are not usually hyphenated on to a 'normal' forename.

This notice has an unusual name. What is the correct way to index. Do I do
it as published. The funeral has Dane - Budda which makes it look like he
had another surname as well or Budda is a nickname. They are usually
published in brackets.
Margaret.
