Dear Board Members,
This is one of the offerings from eh Outdoor Ministry Connection OMC that I
have been participating with. It has some great information including the first
article about fund raising. I am grateful for the work of the Board and I hope
this article and others I forward serve as encouragements. I attend the ABI
conference and while small it was very valuable. We will be instituting some
website changes and other promotional items going forward.

Community Joys & Concerns

praying for our colleagues at Blackstone, the Virginia United Methodist
Assembly Center, who experienced a significant boiler room fire last Wednesday.
Thanks be to God that all are safe, water and heat have been restored, and no
events had to be canceled! Many of us know the challenges of working with
insurance, managing communications, and more when dealing with significant
property damage. Please remember our Blackstone neighbors as they faithfully
respond to this situation.

celebrate with longtime leader Rev. Larry Peacock as he anticipates retirement
in June. Larry has capably served as Executive Director of Rolling Ridge
Retreat Center in Massachusetts for 11 years, and as clergy in The United
Methodist Church since 1976. UMCRM members will know him from his spiritual
formation workshop sessions at National Gatherings, and from his writings on
spiritual practices. Praise God for the gift Larry has been to the UMC, to our
community, and to God's kin-dom. Blessings on life's next adventures!

Themed "Waters of Grace," UMCRM's biennial event will be hosted in 2017 at
