Works fine except I need glasses in the dark. >David From 1955 until perhaps 1980 [Whenever it was I'm not sure, I had to trade it in for a 3.5F to use my Rolleimarin] I only had a 2.8C with no built-in light meter. I did almost all my exposures using the guide lines printed on the sheet in the film box. I would venture to say that all that time, including a year in Europe (and photos inside churches, etc,) I had great success just based on the sheet. I don't think I had an un-usable shot in all that time, and I used both negative film, and EK 64 and Agfachrome 64 slide film. It can be done. Some exposures were perhaps 3-4 seconds, just guesses on my part and some were posted on the old Rollei site. I don't have the slides at hand right now since we are still un-packing after being here since October. I have had, since childhood, a GE Model 8DW58Y4, so old that it says on the back "For Film or Plates, Use Exposure Index American Standard Speed Index". I used it along with the paper sheet as described above, but if it disagreed with my guess I used my guess. It reads two ranges of reflected light and reads Incident Light in Ft. Candles, but the selenium cell in it is (and has long been) very weak and needs replacing. (Same situation for the cell in my 3.5F I think) Anyhow, after saying all this, I only mean to say that you can get along very well without a meter.
