A point being all of a sudden our favorite tools became suddenly obsolete.
In the eyes of the others who felt you had to go out and buy the latest
thing every time. They have the money.
The argument goes to the viability of the images themselves you've made all
along with this in example non coated or early coated lens.
Do they fall off the wall? Burst into flames?
And the lens is still capable of producing images of that quality.

But we suppose if hung side to side if the high tech coated versions just
really put the older technology to shame then you need to bit the bullet
start saving your money. As you are producing mediocre images.
You'd not want to hire yourself.
