It's a little lighter than the 2.8C I use, looks almost the same in positioning of controls. What makes it more practical than any other Rolleiflex?

My back up TLR is a Yashica 635 - which knocks off the Rolleicord. I find it a bit easier and faster to use than my 2.8C, maybe because the focusing knob and the film advance are on the same side. That would lead me to believe that the Rolleicord is the more practical Rollei.

"Practical" is a word I think of with my Automat. I find it lighter than the ones with light meters. Since I use a hand-held meter all the time, I don't need one in the camera. The only thing bad about the camera is the amount of attention it engenders. I'd prefer to work without anyone paying attention.

I gave my last Automat away and really miss it. Might be the most practical Rollei of all.

My own pre-war Automat (uncoated) also yields very interesting and
beautiful color...

An awful lot of color was shot with uncoated lenses including most home movies made before about 1947. Coating improves color purity and saturation but many relatively simple lenses do not have a lot of flare even when uncoated.
