Exactly the same fault, the second unit after working all right to start with,
is a strange coincidence. Could there be a problem with the cable or the
camera? Bad contact?

Thank you for the replies. I managed to get a second SCA356 unit and it
worked correctly (briefly), but once I started swapping back and forth trying
to confirm the original SCA356 is faulty the second one started showing the
same fault. So I guess I can add 2 out of 2 units faulty to the list.
I hope to get a chance to look inside the unit in an attempt to repair at
least one. I will provide an update if I find any simple fix.
