Hi Carlos,

Thanks for your pointers. I searched through some of my manuals and
brochures too, for further information on the 4560 and found the bit
about the viewfinder display option. So, I've now got it worked out -
(as before but now completed):

The 'little red button' on the adapter plate is the lock overide for
removing the adapter if a 4560/135 back is in place. Without the back
attached it does nothing. With the back placed in the adapter, the two
side release buttons are locked until the red button is depressed. The
slide on the film back cannot be opened until the back is in the adapter
and the back cannot be removed from the adapter until the slide has been
closed again.

For the LCD display on the Magazin 135:

Normal display is film speed and frame number.

The +/- button changes the film speed.

The Mode button cycles through the main menu and the '+' button changes
the options:

ISO/DIN: toggles the film speed format

On/Off: is for the display of 'Slide', frame number and 'End' in the
camera viewfinder display or not, as appropriate. This only 'flashes-up'
for about one second in my 6008i because it uses the same LED characters
as the aperture read-out in the left of the viewfinder. 'Error' flashes
up if the last frame cannot be fully wound on and before it rewinds the
film automatically.

Run/Stop: RUN is normal single exposure per frame and STOP stops the
motorwind giving multi-exposures. The number of multi exposures is shown
on the LCD but the camera display still only shows the actual frame
number when it flashes up.

Auto/Turn: Auto is AUTOmatic run with automatic rewind and Turn is
manual rewind from any point; reTURN. The film wind motor detects
increased resistance at the end of the film and automatically starts to
rewind. I have not worked out if, with a new film loaded, the first
press of the shutter release winds the film on sufficiently to pass the
fogged film leader or not.

It takes 2 off LR44 1.5v alkaline button cells to power the LCD memory
when the camera is switched off or the back is off the camera.

Best wishes

John
