Chris, many of the characteristics you cited seem to apply in spite of pre
war vs. post war time span. I think your hints we be of great help in
getting acquainted with the camera.

Mine is definitely pre-war - AIUI the lever focus is the giveaway. They only
did that for a few years in the mid 30s. Shame really, because it seems to
work really well. YMMV, I guess.
