Jerry There is only one type of Ikoflex IIa, the 855/16 Lcn produced between OCT 1952 and SEP 1955, when it was superseded by the Ib, Ic, and then by the Favorit. I suspect that you were referring to the balls-up with the Prewar Ikoflex III: the first one came with a 3.5/7.5cm lens but this was then replaced by the "new" Ikoflex III, with its 2.8/8cm CZJ Tessar lens, the only occasion on which Zeiss Ikon seriously challenged Franke & Heidecke for the professional market, a move rendered futile due to one Ogf. A. Hitler. The original III was hastily renumbered the Ikoflex II, and the original Ikoflex II was discontinued. So, in the late 1930's there were two versions of the Ikoflex II and two versions of the Ikoflex III on the boards, but the Postwar IIa was the only one of its type and, unlike most of the Ikoflex line, only was offered with a Tessar lens.
