Randall, For Palm Sunday (Prelude) I am playing "Trumpet Procession for Organ" by Richard Frey. It is a wonderful trumpet tune that is somewhat slower and more stately than the more familiar Clarke and Stanley. I'll begin with boxes closed and gradually "open her up" as the procession seems to draw near. It will lead right into a grand processional during the opening hymn "All Glory, Laud, and Honor" for the choir, clergy, eight acolytes and all the children in the congregation. For the postlude, I plan to play the Guilmant "March on a Theme of Handel" (Lift Up Your Heads O Ye Gates from Messiah). Happy Holy Week!
