We had a wonderful Christmas. Two services at 7 and 9 pm at the ELCA King of Kings Church in Oceanside. I was so happy to use the three manual 905 which will soon be "married" to the "impacted" 7 rank Moller. Our 30 voice choir and handbells joined together in an anthem. Also sang the Of the Father's Love Begotten with a clarinet obbligato done by MIDI ,of course, with my fellow musician playing on the SW. There was no way I could have done it without her. The service included a candle lighting and lots of carol singing; I tried to take advantage of all the new bells and whistles and enjoyed it thoroughly. Had a full overflowing house. Lutherans have a lovely liturgy much like the Episcopalians. Oh yeah, postlude was organ solo of Messiah Hallelujah Chorus. I have a Rodgers 751 at home, but it is thrilling to be able to play a three manual organ and am looking forward to a year of learning even more of how to use all the resources. Oh yes, Noel, I used the Zimbelstern for two pieces by Pachelbel and Bernhardt Bach, of From Heaven Above (Vom Himmel Hoch). Pastor Dave used this hymn as a theme for the evening. Apparently, the story goes that Martin Luther wrote this hymn for his children to learn about the birth of Our Lord.
