Richard, please give up on that launching two at a time. It's just not
the same as launch a mass of 10. Our distance conformed to our
interpretation of the Tripoli regulations. I think it is more cut and
dried than you are making it out to be. If Tripoli wants to clarify that
some more, then they will do it. I'm sure this isn't the first time it has
come up. And as you said yourself, this regulation came about because of a
screwup by the Tripoli board themselves. We have always self regulated and
have had safe mass launches when we have been in control. Even with two or
three catos, the Punisher launch was far from being hazardous to anyone.
Ok, I know you can come up with a scenario where, at the last second, a
dust devil knocks over the whole line of rockets and they all fall pointing
toward the flight line and and the launch controller shorts and fires them
all at the same time and mayhem ensues. Could happen...

Richard...Just giving you a hard time.

Maybe too early to consider a replay? Still, I wonder how it would have
gone if they were launched 2 at a time. And, is there still controversy
about how far the pads have to be for something like this?

Tripoli: if the launch safety guidelines have to be so complicated, please
supply some examples so it’s clearer than mud. A guideline shouldn’t have
to be interpretated unless it’s written poorly or really has to be
complicated.
For example, say you have 10 rockets with K impulse engines and you want
to mass launch them…
