yah, Patrick. That is the one that I was talking about at the heartland
meeting. I have the one that came out before the one with the u s b port.
Reggie is right it is totally accessible by just listening to the beeps. I
have an extra one if you would want to try it before you buy it!

Hi Patrick,

Glad to see you on the list. I also use one of the Olympus digital
recorders from RadioShack. it's fine for taking voice notes and only costs
$39. You can't hook it up to the computer and it doesn't talk or play MP3s
but, it's very accessible just by the beeps. You have 3 folders that hold
100 messages each and at least 4 hours of total recording time. It's just a
basic small digital recorder useful for phone numbers and notes and such.

The new Olympus DS-30 digital recorder is completely accessible out of the
box.
The menus speak as you navigate them, it has about 35 hours of recording
time, and a USB port so that you can copy your files to a PC.
It records in WMA format, but can also play MP3 files.
This machine is available from amazon.com for $129.
