I've always found that if you can actually get to an Apple Store and
have the rep demo products for you, the trip is well worth it. If you
live in the Kansas City area, they've really got their act together at
Apple on the Plaza. I was intent on purchasing the new Ipod Nano, which
does have voice over. If I had simply ordered it from apple.com rather
than going into the Apple Store, I would have never realized (nor would
the rep), just how easily VO shuts down on those particular units. In
the end, I decided against purchase of that particular device due to
VO's unpredictability in interfacing with it.

Sorry, I forgot to enquire, Did you buy this from apple. If so, they
will be great if you choose to return, or exchange. You shouldn't even
have to pay a restocking fee, if one of their staff told you that voice
over came out on that iPod. That would be their mistake, not yours.
