I had some success with smtplib, but you need to use SSL, I think.
It's still possible.

Gmail is really tighten up their security requirements and this has caused a lot of homegrown
apps to not be able to function.

I am attempting to send a email message through gmail and I am receiving 10060 error.
Is there a api that works with gmail?
