So I gave in and bought myself a Brompton which I frequently use on buses and trains. It folds easily and quickly, and most important, the parts are stillattached to eachother when folded. The B can be carried as a suitcase. This I did not think about. I have a foldable upright and you are right, it is praktible to have all parts together. On the mail to henry i attacheda drawing for a foldable micro-python.
I like it, Jürgen. Simple folding and with possibilities to carry a bag low and close to the cog. The pivot arrangement gives me some Flevo vibes. Having the pivot this far up makes it possible to experiment with very short negative trail.
With a length adjustment facility (perhaps of bottom bracket boom type) on the main frame tube, the package could perhaps become even smaller. But also take longer to fold of course.
On the Micro you will be seated further back than many python riders on their bikes. This probably means that your hip joints will not be fully engaged in the steering process.this does not matter, on my TT testing prototype i am sitting behind the pivot.
If centre of movement (the pivot) is placed way in front of the hip joints where the swivelling takes place I could imagine a lesser degree of contact with the bike. After all the TT does feel quite different from steering a python ... don't you think?
the a - b distance is important, a must be same or bigger than b.
For what reason is this important? On my monty b (47 cm) is considerably longer than a (27 cm) olaf
