Sounds like you are damping each other's random wobble a bit, no?

 We
tried to do it with the new rider in the middle of us, but he's a little too
wild yet and all we ended up doing was having a big 3 python wipeout.

photos?

So,
we tried it with Marcel in the middle, andsame result when Al plowed into
Marcel, who in turn knocked me over :)

video please

It was very relaxing to
hold onto the other rider, and I can see how Jurgen and his wife could
likely cruise along together quite comfortably like that.

There were people in the Rosarito-Ensenada ride who clamped their bikes together and suspended a beer cooler in between. I liked that idea. Barbara and I could cruise along together quite comfortably like that; she just won't get on the back of a tandem.
