Eduardo, I don't quite understand ... are you using 24" rims? If so, I'd like to know what ground clearance you expect, with and without a rider. Or perhaps you don't use suspension?

Hi Olaf !!!

Today I bring my frame from the zinc plating to the painting. Before
painting, I need to insulate some parts (threads and brake pivots) from
reach of the paint. My frame was dimensioned to 26" rimmed wheels, but with
26" x 1" tyres, the real diameter is 24".

I'm building this bike to a 1.69 m high friend, but I'm planning to build
the next for me with 700C wheelset.

Now that's what I call enthusiasm. Almost euphoria. Biker's nirvana!

Keep kicking our butts Jürgen, and keep explaining how to build the
beast so that one day the pythons will be as numerous as the locusts of
Egypt. Then we will build (weld of course) a great sphinx named after
you!

Has anyone made progress in building a 24" model? I believe someone was
starting such a project, or am I mistaken?

Not much springtime temperature around here I'm afraid (Sweden).

In the last 5 days we had wonderful springtime weather and I
was out with the python several hours each day.

Let me tell you one thing:

This bike is the fucking best bike that I ever have ridden.
(and I rode a lot of different bike types!)

If you can: take the next welding machine, get some bike
parts, buy some tubing, build the bike as fast as you can,
tame it and learn how to ride it. You will condemn each hour that
you have lost, being without this bike - I promise you!

Do not plan everything do death - just start doing it!
Any errors that you made during the building process can
be undone, or improved next time.

Jürgen.
