The best holders for lenses are boxes with slots down the
sides to hold the lensboards. Can make the slotted part from foam
plastic. Boxes can be metal card boxes if you can find the right
size. Since the foam can be custom cut to fit the boards you can
use mixed sizes in the same box or use one box per lens. The
rigid box provides a lot of protection and nothing touches the
lens or shutter.
