I was introduced to the Curta in my early teens by one of my photography mentors. I will have to cudgel my brain to get his name right, he had been a screen writer. He used the Curta because he had some problem with doing math in his head or on a normal slide rule. The story I was told does not quite make sense now. I always wanted a Curta, just to have one. They look like a piece off of a Norden bombsight.
