Some thoughts ... Years and years ago developers were preserved by placing a small gauze bag filled with either sodium or potassium metabisulfite in the container. The sulfur dioxide that was released helped preserve the developing agents. I wonder if this would work with Glycin. Freezing should also help slow the oxidation process. Don't store in plastic, use glass. Just because the Glycin is discolored does not mean that it is unuseable. -----Original Message----- From: pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Eric Nelson Sent: Monday, November 28, 2005 12:39 PM To: pure-silver@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [pure-silver] Preserving Glycin I've just thrown out another 75gms of coffee colored glycin and was wondering if anyone has found a way to extend it's life in powdered form. My container was re-taped after opening and kept in black plastic bag in a cabinet and yet went bad in a few months. Eric Nelson __________________________________ Yahoo!
