I'm sorry, Mr Hall, but I'll have to disagree. If an optical lab were to establish which lens was better: Canon, or Nikon, or whatever; it would not put an end to mailing lists. The mailing lists would cease discussing the quality of the lenses and would start debating the quality of the optical lab! (BTW, Canon rulz! Especially fifty year old ones like my Canon FX's!) On the other hand, when the new 36 meg, full frame D800 comes out..... temptation, temptation......... Bottom line is, I love my D7000, but with the new year, I am looking at stocking up on some more 4x5 tri-x. Totally different animals, but I love my Nikon D7000 as much as I love my Tachihara 4x5. I figure it's like owning a Mustang and a Jeep at the same time, just depends on where you are going and what kind of mood you are in. :D There was a long standing debate regarding Canon vs: Nikon lenses and another regarding Zeiss vs: Schneider, probably others too. I suppose someone with a real optical lab could resolve (ouch!) this. -- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles WB6KBL dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ============================================================================================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this message.
