Ok recent test roll is dry and I had clipped off a couple of inches of leader from the film and didn't put it through the rinse at all. No texture at all after it dried. I have been using this same small size bottle of Edwals LFN for about a year and overall I have been using LFN for about 5 years. My little bottle was running out though so I bought the large 4 ounce size from freestyle and when I began processing all this FP4 I tossed the old bottle and started using the new bottle. My technique is to put a liter of filtered water in a pyrex glass pan and then put 4 to 6 drops in. Take the film off the stainless steel reel and run it back and forth through the rinse for 30 seconds. I didn't notice until I started testing it that the new bottle of LFN was causing a cloudiness in the rinse water. So I grabbed the old bottle out of the trash can and used it for my last test and the result is that the leader I cut off has no texture, the film rinsed in the old bottle has a very slight not noticeable texture and the new bottle stuff cause a lot of texture. So there you go... except that it didn't happen when I used Xtol... Time for that beer I guess Dennis============================================================================================================To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there.
