the purplish hue is indeed a rest of the anti halo layer
you also have it with recent kodak film
longer fixing or better using kodak fixer and kodak wash aid will help
As I recall, Kodak recommended using their Rapid Fixer for these films,
followed by KHCA. For me, that got rid of the purple stain.
OTOH, two-bath fixing in F-6, followed by KHCA worked too.
