You don't want a regular household bulb because the brand/size printing on the end of the bulb can/will become a part of your print. My 1C calls for an Opal 75 watt. So, I guess the 211 is what you want.Beside having the branding on the side of the neck enlarger lamps also have a much more diffusing coating on the bulb. They are called opal lamps because the lamp glass is similar to opal glass. Standard reading lamps will cause a hot spot. The type PH-211 is used in a lot of enlargers so its available but, as has been pointed out the price may be high. I don't know of a way of duplicating the coating but there may well be one.Gary
