Ugh, my grammar was right when I first typed this and I
"fixed" it. _insists on having me cut her hair_ is correct.
I will make up for it with a story. When I was in college I
saved money by getting my hair cut at the barber college. The
finishing students were good and were supervised by instructors.
After a while I learned how to cut hair. Ever since I have cut my
own.

My lady friend of the last nearly seventy years insists on having my cutting her hair. I had a soccer buddy once who did makeup and hairdressing for the movies. He suggested I go to beauty school. He made a lot of money plus it was a cookie jar. I stuck with television engineering.

Yeah. As with cutting hair, good results probably require a certain degree of imprecision, if not outright (limited!) chaos!
