Thank you for replying, Per Yours is the only reply that I have gotten. I had previously found (and read) the pdf. Just now did a word search on it and there is no mention of the word ‘peer’. In our application we do not plan to use servers because we do not expect them to survive the catastrophe for which we are preparing. See: www.webpal.org We are set upon PSK – and peer-to-peer mail sounds interesting – but we don’t know if: a. it will be complicated for people to implement b. we should be using ‘63’ – ‘250’ – or ‘500’ c. if any of this is even possible for us using the low power (less than 10 watts) single band transceivers that we plan to have the members of the net obtain. Any insight or further sources that you can provide on this – will be greatly appreciated. As we have been working on this system for a number of years it is capable and does require a bit of reading and learning. You can compare it to Maslow's famous hierarchy of needs, in order to reach the higher levels you have to take care of the basic needs. We have tried to collect information about all those basic needs for pskmail in a manual and I recommend that you start there. Its available online from several sources and its on my server here: http://www.crusefalk.se/jpskmailinstall/jpskmail_manual.pdf Once you have the basics up and running you can easily create a peer to peer connection, its just a matter of typing what station to connect to. 73 de Per SM0RWO mn 2011-01-17 klockan 21:19 -0500 skrev Bruce Beach: > Hi Everyone, > > I have joined this list because > I need help with an important question. > If you are willing to help me - > you can do so on this list - > or directly at: language@xxxxxxxxxx > > If this is the wrong place to ask such a question please redirect me to > where I should go. > > I am a very old guy. > You can see me at www.webpal.org > I am the one with the long hair. > The one with the long ears is my friend Jemma. > > I am very new to Ham. > Decided in November that I should get a Ham license - > and 17 days later passed the Basic+ and Advanced in Canada. > I am VE3 UAL > but I have never sent or received a message. > I have a transceiver but it is still in the box it came in. > > I write a newsletter and have thousands read it - > and want to start a Ham Net among these people. > You have to see the web site to understand why. > We plan to use only one band and one system. > > We plan to use PSK31 > and it has been suggested to me > that we use Peer-to-Peer > PSKmail. > > So far I cannot find any information about that. > If you are sympathetic to our cause > and can point me towards any information > I would very much like to hear from you. > > Peace and love, > Bruce > > _____ No virus found in this message.
