There is a bug in search - I'm working on that right now. But it is not
proxy related.
Proxy should work for every connection. The settings are always taken
from the configuration (Tools | Options).
If you are not able to connect to the server, there might be problem in
pRSSreader's proxy support. Searching in syndic8.com is performed via
POST requests (possible source of problems?). Could you test 1.3.2beta1
if you are able to search in syndic8.com via connection with proxy server?
Additional headers work for *all* http requests, no matter if it is
search/update/whatever. If it is not working, I quess that there could
be a problem with POST requests, but you have to try yourself...
