Usually in a game, if you are repeatedly pushing the next button when you come up to a choice it will just pick the top choice. Katamari had a cool feature. When a dialogue choice popped up wouldn't automatically select one. The player needed to push up or down first. This prevented the player from accidentally skipping a dialogue choice. I hope this made sense because its really hard to explain.
