Not everyone. I am on that list and I do not like Mac more. I could name two others but I will not speak for them and they are not here to defend themselves. I will tell you they are using Mac though we all three are but it doesn't mean we like it more. Now with that said I will only speak for myself now The two big ones that have to do with this list are First find me a code editor I can code in python with one that I can actually tell what indentation level I am at. Second find me any third party text editor at all that works with voice over. Not counting bean it doesn't do what I want. Thanks to David I can finally use emacspeak but that still is a linux thing Another thing I do not like is the Web browser. While accessible it is not easy or intuitive to use. If you don't believe it just try doing a research paper blocking and copying with the web browser and you will quickly find the difference. Sure there are ways around the difficulties but anything that slows me down on the web is a problem. Next is the file browser try deleting multiple files and see how you jump around. I am Shocked that Mac has not fixed the focus of what item your on. Third try to copy all the mail in one mail box of over 300 items. The only way to get this to work is to turn off voice over. Try using WX widgets 2.9 it will stay busy as long as you use voiceover. Turn voiceover off and your good to go. You might think this is a problem with wx but I have ran into infinite busy problems in Mail, safari, and other applications and the only fix is to turn off voice over while you do the task. I have much more but I won't go into them here because I had already listed them on the Mac visionary list and what they told me there is there are work around for many of the problems I have that doesn't mean they are not problems. The problem is many Mac users just get used to the problems and ignore them that doesn't mean if you're a new user or even a long time user there are not accessibility problems. Many of the problems I run into on the Mac have been fixed as far back as windows 98. Now I am not saying one day Mac might not deal with the problem and there are things I like about the Mac but just the other day on the Mac dev list people were talking about installing their Mac as full 64 to try to speed up the Mac so the voiceover would not go busy. Well it's been a long time since the screen readers of Windows has affected windows enough to stop an application. Mac has a ways to go. Everyone on the Macvisionaries list, including Windows converts, seems to love Apple's os more. It is stable, easy, and there seems to be nothing it can't do, not including poorly designed third party applications.
