It runs in Windows but it is very old. I highly recommend to use OpenSSh from Cygwin. Works great! -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Homme, James Sent: 29. juli 2010 17:01 To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: ssh client Hi, Is this an application that runs in Windows or do I need something else to go with it? I use open ssh. Its quite old now but works fine. I got it from http://sshwindows.sourceforge.net/ I did try putty but didn't like it very much. I like open ssh because it is just a standard console application on your host machine meaning that screen readers just see it as being a command prompt window and you don't have to mess around with any settings. If you can't find the installer shout and I'll email it to you off list. HTH. I feel like I'm going crazy. I looked for openssh and found a page for it, which led me to winscp, which sounded like what I wanted, but I can't get it into a state I can work with. What I'd really like is not something like telnet or sftp, but rather a bash shell that I can run remotely. I haven't done this in a while and need someone to jog my memory as to what tools are best for doing this. I understand that MSYS and MinGW have an ssh command that works, but I have MSYS set up and it can't find ssh. I also have cygwin set up, bu it also has no ssh. I considered putty, but thought I'd ask the list first. How many trees do I have to bark at before I find the right command? Someone please post a note.
