I had a weird one myself the other day -- I tried logging onto yahoogroups and got a message from Norton that it had blocked the page because a malicious add-on had been downloaded or installed. I was using IE8. When I went back to yahoogroups it went fine. I never saw similar warnings after that, so presumably Norton caught and handled whatever it was (at least I hope it did). So back to your problem, you may have a virus or adware on your system. But if your virus scans don't catch it, I don't know how to tell you to proceed. Good luck! --le ----- Original Message ----- From: Kristoffer Gustafsson To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 15, 2010 10:32 AM Subject: removing ads Hello! I don't know where to ask for help, other than this list, so I decide to ask here. When I read c++ tutorials(That I'm doing now) or something else using internet explorer, I get messages like ad served by, play casino, and like that. It's no pop ups, just this junk on almost any homepage I'm visiting. I know that this junk is'nt on any of the homepages, so there must be some virus or something in my computer. I'm using avast, and I scanned the computer, but avast didn't found anything. SO, could you help me please? /Kristoffer
