Mono is a cross-platform implementation of the .NET Framework, including GNOME and Mac support, as well as Windows. My understanding is that a C# program that uses the System.Windows.Forms classes for a GUI will be accessible with Orca on Linux and VoiceOver on the Mac when run under Mono. The same program will not be accessible under Mono for Windows, but will be accessible under the .NET Framework for Windows. That is because these GUI environments use native controls of the platform, which implement its primary accessibility API.

Does Mono even ahve a screen reader? Correct me if I'm wrong but,
that's a desktop, right? I thought Gnome was the only linux/unix
desktop that was accessible. Heard all sorts of promising things
about KDE but nothing definitive. Same thing can be said about XFCE,
uses similar libraries to Gnome so might be made accessible using Orca
at some point. Isn't Mono just another one?

Will you be writing this in c# then? Reference to Mono reminds me of
a post I read here once that it will run the clr platform making apps
written in vb and c# potentially multiplatform.

Thanks.

If it runs on mono, yeah probably, but I'm not making any huge
cross-platform efforts currently. I just wanted something cleaner and
more stable, if possible.

Seems my message was cut off; apologies. As I was saying, I went and

would be interested in working with me to add features, the help would

  hello all,
I recently noticed some really slow loading in EdSharp on windows

I went to check on the code, and found more static methods and

one big file, with little to no documentation and blocks commented out
  here and there.
Not wanting to try to figure this all out, I
