I have tried them , but they fail for some reason! They worked once and mostly
not!
I’ve tried “orca &” and it started and no problem.
I’ve tried “orca -e speech” , it worked , but turned off when I opened a new
terminal window using “control+shift+t” !!!
Anyway, I’m facing a new issue which is that I don’t have root privileges to
run sudo commands, although I’m the only user of the device!
A different solution was introduced . I’ve got a Mac device to use instead to
finish my work till I see a solution to this strange problem! That was only
yesterday evening.
I’ll work on that issue later after finishing the work I need to do nowadays.
I’ll flag this conversation to access it later easily and may continue it as
far as I have much time to solve it.
Thank you so much for everything.
Sincerely,
Mohamed E. Fayed

OK! It’s been about a month so I’ve been using ORCA. I don’t have much
experience with ORCA and Linux as I’ve just started exploring Linux world.
Try out the following:
Open gnome-terminal
Type: “orca –replace” this’ll start the new instant of ORCA. It’s much like
when you run NVDA -r switch from run dialogue box.
If above command doesn’t work, try running: “orca -e speech”
What I assume is there would be dependency issue with orca package. To fix
this, try running: “sudo apt update” and then “sudo apt upgrade”
Try upgrading orca: “sudo apt install gnome-orca”
Or there could be desktop environment issue.
As I’ve read about KDE desktop environment, it comes with better
accessibility. But seriously I’ve found little difficult to navigate in KDE.
System activity (much like task manager), k runner (run dialogue box) were
accessible for me. No idea about desktop and app launcher. I just wonder, is
there any app launcher in KDE?
When I press alt+f1 nothings happens.
Just let me know how it goes.
