All I did was go to start, type theme, press ENTER, choose Windows classic,
press ENTEr to change the theme. Then go to display in control panel and
make sure the resolution is set for your monitor type. Mine is 17.5 inch x
12 inch (1396x1284). Force the computer to accept your choice and reestart.

Subject: [program-l] Preventing JAWS 14 beta from changing the screen
resolution and color scheme to Windows 7 Basic

Hi.

When starting JAWS 14 beta or JAWS 13, the color scheme on Windows 7 is
changed to "Basic Color Scheme" and the resolution is altered resulting in
Win7 advising that the new resolution is not correct for the primary
display.

The result is that the Windows 7 magnifier stops working. This is probably
due to JAWS disabling Aero.

Why is JAWS doing this and can it be prevented? I assume there is a reason
why JAWS does this, so if JAWS is prevented to make these changes, what
would it break in JAWS functionality?

Thanks in advance,
Kerneels
