Hi Jim: For JAWS VS is supported but it is my understanding that the Express
modules are not supported.
I am still not sure about NVDA.

  Hi Rick,

I heard that Pro works better than Express does when it comes to 2010. I'm
pretty sure I saw this in either the JAWS 12 or JAWS 13 what's new file. Either
that, or on this list. I think someone started up a project that got little
traction to work on 2010. I forget, though, if that was Express or Pro.

  Thanks.

  Jim

Hi Jim: 2010 is in fact what I am trying to run with NVDA.

2008 is what i am running in production but want to use 2010.

So perhaps it is a plug-in problem for the vb.net express.

    Hi Rick,

My memory seems to tell me that the plug in to which you refer is either
for 2005 and older or 2010, but not 2008. And when I say this, I'm pretty sure
that I mean Pro, not Express. If you need me to, I can try to look back through
what's new data to track it down.

Hi Guys: Got it, version 2012 2.1 if I remember.

could it be the stuff I am running:

Windows XP with all the updates,

VB.net 2008 Express ( could the Express version be the problem here?

I know JAWS relies on a plug-in to enhance accessibility for the full
version of Visual Studio and I also know that the Express modules do not allow
plug-Ins but have no clue if NVDA requires a plug-in or what.

      Hi Rick,

Use NVDA + N, then Help, then About.

Hi: OK, I cant figure out how to check which version of NVDA I have,
clicking it in the system tray doesnt bring up any IDE to work from.

I have not found how to check the version slogging through the Docs
online either so far.

The system requirements say it should work with xp, my system, and I
think I downloaded the most recent version a couple of months ago.

How do I check my current version, how to bring up the options or IDE
or wwhatever the management platform is?

Hi Rick. NVDA works nicely in the code editor in VS 2010 and 2012, but
there are some problems such as folded code is ignored. Make sure you have the
latest NVDA.

Hi: I saw a message that someone found a fix to NVDA not reading the
Text Editor in VS 2008, what was it and does it work in VS 2010 if you know?

Everything else seems to work pretty well in vs 2010 with NVDA.
