Thanks for the clarification.
I was under the wrong understanding they still were using the chm format.
I think allot of the accessibility issues stem from the viewer layout rather than the format though.
Perhaps it can be customized but I dont have time to look into it now.

MS is now pushing the help system that vs2012 uses (which I have a lot
of problems with personally).  The vs2012 help viewer simply is not
very friendly in my experience, unlike chm or dexplore.

Unlike chm and the dexplore format the vs2012 format does not use a
custom file type, instead it is a zip file (though with a different
extension).

I would say the really unfortunate thing is that chm is no longer the
MS sanctioned help format.

program that can export to .chm in that way. Infortunately his software
