  Hi Justin,

How many times did you repeat this action? I have had the odd occasion where
the calculator did appear on top of the active window. This was usually the
first time in a given session, but not always.

    Hi David,

Not a solid answer here but just wanted to report some testing to you. I'd
be curious to others test results on this too.

I just had outlook express open and in focus and hit a keystroke to pull up
calculator under jaws 8 and calculator did come to the front and take focus.
Same under jaws 7.

Not sure if that really states it is not jaws, since it very well may be.
I'd say to write fs and let us know if they have any ideas on it.

    Regards,
    Justin

      Hi all,

I'm experiencing something a bit irritating, and thought I'd like to hear
if anyone else is getting it before I report it to FS.

Since installing and running JAWS 8.0, I find that starting applications
very often results in the new window opening behind the currently active one.
As I didn't think JAWS should be in a position to affect such behaviour, I was
loathe to blame it. But switching back to JAWS 7.0, I found the behaviour
stopped completely. Resuming use of JAWS 8.0 has brought the problem back
again.

A simple example is starting the Windows calculator. I assigned a
shortcut key of ctrl+alt+C to start it, and when running JAWS 8.0, hitting that
key almost always results in the calculator window opening behind the active
window. Yet when I do the same while running JAWS 7.0, it always opens on top
as the active window.

Has anybody else observed this? And if it isn't a JAWS problem, does
anybody have any suggestions as to what might be causing it?

      Thanks.
