That is absolutely correct, Hugh.
I'm shocked that a question of this nature was posted to this respectable
forum.

I recall a similar issue that occurred to an acquaintance of mine, She was
laid off from work and her email password was changed by the company. She
asked me to find a way to get into her emailbox and download the postings.
To this day, she doesn't understand why I wouldn't help her with it. After
all, she said, the emails belong to her.
Granted, I disagree with the unfriendly company behavior. However, that does
not give me permission to hack into their server.
