I was just conversing with an IT admin who I deal with and he told me that at his firm they have the Admin password tied into their primary login server. So basically, if the password is changed then when it is plugged into the network nothing will work and a service call will be in order. A service call cleans up errant software a user has installed and resets the password. He said they had a number of users who never got the point being taken and ended up with computers with no Java or Flash installed, no sound codecs, and no connection to the internet. Sort of a probationary computer.
