I can't speak for either one **personally**, but I believe I've said before that AVG doesn't do that great in all the online testing review sites that test anti-malware programs, but ZA has been ranking very well, at or near the top for the past 2-3 years. So unless you're having some problems with ZA that can't be fixed, I'd stick with it. -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://www.OrpheusComputing.com http://www.ComputersCustomBuilt.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Harold B." Hello again ... Last May there was some discussion about the pros and cons of AVG (free) and ZoneAlarm. I've had no trouble with either one, however I noticed this comment from Amando (I added some URLs) : AVG is far too bloated and I 've dumped it. I'm using Avira instead, free, of course ... http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/AntiVir-Personal-Edition.shtml And in combination with Online Armor, also free ... http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Online-Armor-Free-Download-86678.html ... which replaces ZoneAlarm for a software firewall (free also), I'm confident that my systems are secure. --- Amando Any updates on the virtues, pros and cons of Avira and Online Armor? Do I continue with AVG and ZoneAlarm or go to Avira and Online Armor? --- Harold ========================= The list's FAQ's can be seen by sending an email to PCWorks-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with FAQ in the subject line.
